Deed of DREWRY BRASWELL and his wife LYDIA of Halifax Co, to JAMES POWELL of same, written 28 February 1797, filed in November 1897 Court of Halifax Co., NC.  They transferred "their right to 1/3 (50 acres mentioned but not clear whether the 50 acres is 1/3 or 1/3 of the 50 acres) of land which belonged to MARMADUKE STRICKLAND, deceased, joining Abner Br????, deceased, JOHN STRICKLAND, DREWRY BRASWELL, LYDIA BRASWELL;
