Admiral Braswell, 1801 estate file; Aug. Ct. 1801, petition of James Bracewell, JR. states that his brother, Admirall Bracewell departed this life in the month of April last, intestate, seized and possessed a tract of about 200 acres of land bounded by the lands of Richard Bracewell, Gary Fort, and Riddick Bracewell and petitioner; James Bracewell, Richard Bracewell, William Bracewell, Riddick Bracewell, Elizabeth Boykin, William Britt and Polly, his wife, Lamon Cohoon and Nelly, his wife, Topin Bracewell and Charrity Bracewell are all equally entitled to said land, share and share alike as brothers and sisters of the said Admiral Bracewell, dec’d. and they ask that the court appoint five commissioners to lay off and divide said land, signed James Bracewell, Richard Bracewell. Asberry Braswell, 1901 estate file, H.B. Proctor, administrator; LARGE FILE; receipt for $18.53, paid by H.B. Proctor, administrator of Asberry Braswell and signed by Sallie Braswell, widow of Asberry Braswell; COURT ORDER ON June 30, 1896 indicates children, Sallie Williams and husband, Warren Williams, Ella Weaver and husband Ebenizer Weaver, John and Isaac; Isaac, the youngest child is now 21 years of age, estate includes 75 acres adjoining John Daws, Polly Calhoun and the "Isaac Braswell tract".

Baker W. Braswell, 1871 estate file; 25 (Nov) 1871 Application for Letters of Administration by John Dancy asking for administration states that Baker W. died intestate with an estate valued at $5000 and heirs are Z.R. Braswell, Mary P. Braswell, Sarah Williams, (Winnifred) Braswell, Lucinda Landing, Wiley C. Braswell, Martha A. Lancaster, (Julia A. Wiging) as her heirs. Above name heirs were listed as brother and sisters and declined the right of administration.

Bythal Braswell, estate file 1842; Feb Ct. 1842, petition of Louisa Braswell, widow of Bythal Braswell, plaintiff vs. John Peele and wife, Jackey, Calvin D. Braswell, Thomas Thorne and wife, (Serena), Frances Braswell residing in this state and Willie Braswell residing in another state, petition states that Bythal died since the last court, testate, he died seized and possessed of four tracts of land adjoining one another adjoining the lands of Isaac Braswell, John Daws, Cressy Braswell, Alfred Jackson and Redmond Curl, containing about 600 acres which Bythal left to be divided among the defendants (named above) in equal value, Louisa sues here for her dower.
